A Hell of a Drug
I see a flash from behind my dark light-covers
But it is not from the outside world, it’s from my own mind
My head starts to swell and scream
The whole room starts to spin
Another flash splashes across my vision
I roll onto my other side to ignore my stupidity
My innards start to churn and boil into haggis
A gong pangs in my ears as another flash blinds me momentarily
Maybe if I lie on my back I can see a different side of it
The insects housed inside me start to flutter and kick
They all burst from my stomach and tear through my skin
They take to the sky covered in my blood
Another flash and gong shot
I turn onto my stomach
My legs fall off and run away
My arms go limp and ignore my every command
Another flash and pang
I begin to float and ignore the world
Man, life is one hell of a drug
