Octogenarian teenager

Congratulations on your competition win in this really strong field!  You told me so much within the 30 word limit, but also managed some word (and font) play, which always floats my boat.  I love the multiple meanings of 'nought' here (clever!) and the bucket list that leaks... so what if we forget certain items - we can add more!  There is also very much a spirit of youthfulness here, and an attitude of never being too old.  I've long subscribed to that, and once taught a 94-year old clarinet beginner!  Oh, I also love that you're an unfinished manuscript, ever keen to improve.  This is genius stuff.

Many thanks for the award, you are not sparing my blushes with a "genius" that was a first. I felt honoured reading your review - critique of the piece, it has been a lean time recently with few likes and awards. The insights into your life leaving questions, lingering fascination. I appreciate the opportunity  to engage in the competition probably being the oldest poet on DU

I'm sure I came across someone on here who is 85 this week. You've just had twice the life that some of us have! :D
