I have you.
I see the cold winter of worry
there just beneath your smile.
So drape my love around those shoulders
and rest with me a while.
I’ll wrap these arms around you
to warm you with my soul,
and when the world tears you apart
I will always make you whole.
Rugged is my nature, and
thickened my skin be,
yet my touch is the flower’s petal,
you are safe in here with me.
So take your rest sweet little one
and know this to be true.
No matter what the days may bring,
I’m holding on to you.
there just beneath your smile.
So drape my love around those shoulders
and rest with me a while.
I’ll wrap these arms around you
to warm you with my soul,
and when the world tears you apart
I will always make you whole.
Rugged is my nature, and
thickened my skin be,
yet my touch is the flower’s petal,
you are safe in here with me.
So take your rest sweet little one
and know this to be true.
No matter what the days may bring,
I’m holding on to you.
