If I could be your budding rose, you could be my sun,
painting me rainbows, when the rain was all done.
If I could be your world, you could be my moon,
you'd be my silent protector and nightlight in my gloom.

If I could be your island, you could be my calm sea,
we'd caress each other's shore, how gentle we'd be.
If I was ever your tidal wave, you'd leave gifts in my sand,
you'd find and relocate me to quieter, safer land.

If I could change your orbit, you'd always keep me in light,
there to guide & keep me safe even if by day &/ or by night.
If the Gods decide our fates will 1 day cross & intertwine,
we'd travel through space together, 2 bodies coalescing in time.

If I could be your lover's promise, you'd have the stars align,
there would be no hesitation, we'd encounter a true sign.
and though we're mere mortals, look at all that we we see
I could be your faithful companion, you'd be all my eternity.
