There I Go

I know you will never love me
It is written all over your face, your eyes…even the words that resides between the lines that circulate within the inside of your jaws
Yet here you are, there you go
I write these letters as reminders to myself
Reminders of when I thought and knew something was there
That at some point a spark was there but was too premature to flare up
How stupid was I to believe that, that caged bird was really trapped
When in actuality it was too afraid to take flight
I wish that I could make this shit up
I wish that our paths were not intertwined with one another
That every time I thought the thought that my heart would just simply deny…deny
These are the things that I could never say
Words that had no real meaning back then
Yet undefined feelings that should not have been able to bare fruit took root and developed into something more then what it should have
Thoughts were casted out like lines in the water, with hope as bait
And you would nimble
But you would never bite
If this isn’t the realest shit I would ever write
Then I cannot wait until my words take flight
If this is my only shot at facing reality then I hope these words flood your thoughts and heart and send you into a ocean of emotions
I hope your eyes never ever appear before mine ever again
That my name will be forgotten within your past and can no longer fertilize these weeds that I have allowed to dim my light
Those nights of enjoyment are finished with “The End”
And that entire book is burnt in a fire and the ashes are discarded like trash
I hope the wind deems it too unworthy to catch flight and considered inedible by predators
I pray that I wake up with amnesia and your name is lost within time
Decomposes and exits
And develops into an urban legend that no one remembers
