Image for the poem wander

I take your sadness inside me
and cradle you to my bosom
I know what it's like to be different
callous hands find me in my unique wandering
disturbing my silence

in my sacred vow holding tightly
you tremble my soul and I know love
taste me in my surrender
secret lusts peak

in the divine arts you are practiced
tenderly you turn the key
and my chambers open to you

there you see me in my naked glory
shy to the touch
innocent in understanding

I bare honesty
in truth, shine so you will know me
I ache it took me so long to see
I felt your beauty but didn't recognize your pain
I saw swagger and felt strength
I shelter in your shade

I knew a solemn soul when I saw you
quietly watching on your periphery
I wrote to you year in and out
sending my heart on a journey

until one day you look me in the eyes
and found trust gazing back at you
