Thingsyoudowithyourmouth
I know that you want me
As much as I want you
But I love the way that
You show it too
You smile seductively
Thingsyoudowithyourmouth
A poem about your mouth?
Easy to do

Author's Note
The poem is a rather free version of the English Hickeldy pikeldy.
Or in Dutch: olleke bolleke.
I love the verse form but bend the rules to suit my mood.
Enjoy!

Fun little poem. I much prefer the Dutch term to the English one. Thanks! I learned something new today!

Hoi hoi
Thank you for your nice comment.
The verse form is an English invention. It’s imported in the NL by Drs. P.
And rather popular overhere.
And for all the right reasons!
Thank you!

Ahhhh…., thank you.
Yes, what I write is light verse. But DUP wants nothing to have to do with that, so it isn’t in the # thingy.
O well…
Thank you for reading it anyway.
Kind regards, Gus

Ahhhh…, so I wrote it the wrong way! The way you write it looks awfully familiar!
Thanks for helping out.
And then I see how sloppy my memory is.
It is introduced in 1974 in the Netherlands by Drs. P., a famous light verse writer and the verse form is very popular in NL.
So definitely pre internet, as I am pre internet myself.
I don’t know when it was introduced in England, but it was prior to 1974. Thanks for sure.

The poem has a fun 'feel good' factor about it & certainly worth a repeat performance with anyone you may be in an intimate relationship with. I would however, be extremely weary of saying this on a first date, lol. 🤣

Hoi hoi
Even in the (somewhat) more free part of Europe, definitely not first date material.
You are absolutely right.
But in love and poems all’s permitted?
I hope so anyway!
Thank you for the read.
