I used to think that affirmations were a bunch of bs but I've made a total 180 on that frame of thought within the last few months or so. I find real empowerment and a sense of sticktoitiveness from little thoughts or ideas that I find really resonate and help me to uplift myself, which I too often find difficult to do.... and maintain.

I'm truly thankful you found something that you enjoyed here as well.... it means so much to me.

Dear S,

It's within the power of words that people like you and I already find such relief of expression within our poetic creations. To me, it only makes sense, (despite how silly it feels initially.. lol) that a little written resonate affirmation can go a long way in course correcting a way of thinking, which hopefully can steer one's self towards a better path to travel....

Your kind words of feedback and support are only made true because of those around me who I too, gather inspiration from... I guess we're all just vampiricly taking and giving, that way... hahaha. I know wouldn't trade that exchange for anything. It's made me a much better and more empathic person and writer in general!

If you put on the news, you’ll see that God has more than enough shit to deal with.

So, (... and neither will God) my guess is that he or she will be delighted with all kinds of love and attraction.

One of the best light verse writers in the Netherlands once called her entire show Lachen mag van God. Which roughly translates into God permits laughter.

I think that is a useful compass to sail by.

I think that's kind of the point of that last line about God....That an entity like that isn't concerned about my decisions or self value, like pride... it's all up to myself, as it should be.
Were where my thoughts sort of traveled.

I like that... 'God permits laughter' it's a wonderful thought and terrific way to organize your beliefs, if practiced.
