the bare rose

she lays strikingly
quiet,
well done
and way too soon,
her garments
lay blushing
the ground
at her feet,

her perfume is
consumed
only slightly,
the wind now holds
in it's possession
her fragrance,

now,
the great dark
releases
the day's promise,
cloaking
the bare rose,

as sleep comes,
she dreams
of coming times
and new robes
to wear.
