Someday, I'm gonna rise
With no tears in my eyes
When will the pain go away
Will today be the day
I keep on searching
For anyone that cares
Then my heart turns so cold
And I don't want to pray
The answer is simple
And I know what to do
I just pray anyway
To get closer to you

Dear FM,
I related to this poem because of its dark attachment to prayer even when I don’t want to and especially if I don’t think it beneficial. Yet I do it. There is a spiritual thread that attaches us to each other I guess, but whatever it may be, I think this poem is just so thoughtful. H🌷
