And Baby makes Infinity...

Slip inside this red
Discard the flesh
His soul to keep
No tears left
Said the child
Who wept!

"He's got your lungs"
Said she!
While he just shrugged
And prepared what seemed like the
188th bottle
While nursing a cup of tea
And two paracetamol
Though he longed
For something stronger.

What were we to do?
We were way out of our element,
Said he
It looked easier in books
Almost desirable on TV.

I slide through black
Avoiding light
I'm the voice
In your head
And the centre
Of your life.

I cry,
I scream
I feel,
I dream
I need love.

"Well that's easy enough"
Said he,
Embracing his newfound
Life position as "Dad"
And took his baby son
To his chest
Forming a connection
A ripple
Baby chewing on dad's
Left nipple.

Contact!

Finally
We are complete
We are synchronicity
Now you and mum
Made me.
Baby finally makes infinity .

Now baby's grown up
He's out in the world
I'm the proudest parent
Look what we built.
Will he become a doctor
Maybe even a writer!
I miss these days
But not his soiled diaper.
