would pitch in all week � � � � �
stacking and storing � � � � �
short and long � � � � �
big and fat � � � � �
skinny and small � � � � �
lying in the backyards � � � � �
waiting for the big day... � � � � �
dusk is falling � � � � �
time to go. � � � � �
"Bring out the wood" � � � � �
shadows darting here and there,
Pile it high, � � � � �
here comes the guy with the gas � � � � �
and the kid with the matches
Barn Fire in the middle � � � � �
of Lowell and Nashua... ��
Boom, burn baby burn � � � � �
flames dancing � � � � �
wood crackling � � � � �
hammerheads, firecrackers and cherry bombs popping � � � �
old school 4th of July block party... � � � �
bring ya own marshmallows ♥ � � � � �

I feel as though it should end after �cherry bombs popping�, and that the last line should be an italicised greeting at the start of the poem, but otherwise I really liked this. It�s sweet and earthy and jovial.
