there is no fear in love

I am lost, though.
The kind of lost one only dreams about.
The kind of lost you swim in,
not drown, but aimlessly float
just below the thin coat of a bubbling surface.
A beautiful surface that reflects the burn of the sun
but still turns your ever thickening skin olive.
You can almost taste the olive.

The deep breath of fresh air,
the deep breath of changing air,
the deep breath because you know not where
you reside any longer.

It’s deep because you can’t imagine
when the taste of air will again have the chance
to rush through your ever quivering lips,
quivering hips.
But quiver no more child,
for the mild thought of being lost
Has found you wild

And though the road isn’t paved ahead,
though there are no street signs ahead,
To meet the sight of hovering lights,
there is a road, nonetheless.
It’s a view of sunflowers kissing your cheek as you saunter past
with the morning glory beckoning at your meek appearance.
It is a sweat dripping between your breast
and traveling down your body as if it, too,
is as curious as you.
And you should dare not fear this love,
my love,
for there is no fear in love.
