I don't write poems (with Reading)

Thanks for the inspiration with your competition, that was a great idea and something I am sure everyone here can identify with. :) I know I read it a little fast, I still get nervous I guess so I am really glad you felt everything came together and was beautiful. If you hated it I might jump off that cliff. :p (just kidding, maybe, but you know what I mean)

You get inspired by nature, people and other things and the poem writes you.  Keep on writing my beautiful strong smart sexy friend.

It's amazing how you can find inspiration in just about anything isn't it. And people can inspire us the most so much of the time. Thanks for inspiring me with your encouragement and thoughts.

To some poetry is life, it's eating, breathing, the words offsprings. Hahaha, for in the beginning there was the word. Tight and with the reading, tighter

So true when you start thinking of how you want to write things instead of taking pictures that's when you are truly lost I guess. lol There is a reason we have so many words. And tight is one of my favorite words, you know what I mean. Get your mind out of the gutter. (just kidding it gives me company :p)

It's interesting how a community like this can start tapping into the same wavelength so frequently. So often I read your words and I feel I understand and feel them so deeply. And others as well, it's a unique feeling to feel understood sometimes perhaps. I know so many people here have sensitive souls. In many ways I have always felt I communicate differently and I found myself fitting in better outside of America. But knowing that some people get something from what I write and to have that understanding is nice. That you and others think I am a beautiful writer means the world to me. I do have a much more difficult time sharing writing on some subjects but perhaps I will get better at that too. Thank you so much for the inspiration and encouragement.

I often say, my writing doesn't come from me, it comes through me, the page, the screen are mediums of expression we utilize, but in a very real sense, the artist is also a medium, like those oracles of Delphi, speaking cryptic words in the mists rising from fissures of rock. Your audio accompaniment gives a full dimensional presence and emotional vitality to the whole. It is wonderful to experience and resonate with. Thank you for thinking of me, always.

Hey Daniel, it's so good to see you back. I was away for a good part of the year too but you were definitely missed. For some people the best writing is the kind that writes itself straight from the heart and soul. You always have a wonderful depth in how you state things. I absolutely love everything you said here about being the medium, speaking cryptic words (I know something about that lol), and the mists. I am glad you liked the audio. I know it's not my best. I really appreciate all the inspiration and encouragement.

Everything in this is so true for writers. I felt this down to the fingertips that I use
to grab that pencil. They do write themselves. That spark just starts feeding our pens
with so many words sometimes it gets noisy. Takes talent to really harness it
and place it on paper. We are just the stylist:) And you got great style!!!

Sometimes I am way too introspective and that can be torturous when you feel everything and so often over-think things. I love that you understand me so well and found the ending very meaningful. :) And I really appreciate the encouragement and inspiration so much CI. And if we stop learning then what's the point.

I really appreciated the timeline of your poetic travels between the poem and the authors notes. What I also admire is you putting your voice to your work. There is an added energy and about ten million extra layers of meaning in an oral accounting of someone’s poem that can be overlooked when I’m just reading it on my own. This is a wonderfully powerful and impactful write that has truly hit home for so many of us. Lovely work. H🌷

Wow what can I say. There couldn't be a more powerful or more passionately written poem than that of you. You are the personification of poetic presence my dear. I couldn't write you , I would set there in awe thinking and thinking and thinking into  depths never to reach bottom, failing to put into words and leaving a blank page. My inability to summarize collectively sentences into paragraphs being hung up to be found speechless in thought is probably the highest honor that I can show. Keep on being written and we'll all keep on reading it.

Poems come to me when I'm shaving, waiting for a subway and when I'm drinking anything alcoholic.  It's amazing that I'm not in AA, I've written a lot of poems on a bunch of sites.
 Booze just goes with the human condition.....

Poetry is organic.  A force of nature.  I think these spoken word pieces you do really identify you.  I haven't read a ton of you but what I've seen is really impressive...

I adore being lush... ;) Yeah, the word Azure scared me in regards to spoken word but I love it. lol Yes, poetry is such a wonderful way to communicate things that we feel in a way that is not overwhelming and is digestible. I am a force of nature. ;p (that's what they tell me anyway lol) So happy you are impressed, thank you so much for the encouraging words - that means a lot to me.

Poetry is what you make of it. And you make a lot of it so don't under estimate yourself. There is a lot of heart and soul here.

Stunning write. Yes, we are a reflection of the words that pour, and in some sense we become them and they become us, a piece of us if you will, where some will try to interpret, but we've been just been written.

Wow, stunning... That's such an awesome thing to say Wally. Interpreting some things can be quite difficult. It's amazing how some things can affect us psychologically in ways we don't understand. There are things I write about cryptically and I feel okay about posting but then after, it causes me a lot of anxiety and yet I repeat it at some point. Perhaps I am trying to just get over that block sharing things but the reaction is difficult. It's not that these are things I think about all the time or that I want to be seen this way or that way. I worry about the perception and also I have spent so much time just burying or not talking about something but the psychology of it is very complicated. Anyway... I guess I don't want to show my scars, and I don't want to look weak and I don't want to be seen as ... well, you get the point. It's just interesting how much it still affects me I guess. I wish it was cathartic. I want it to be but really it's just stressful and yet I try again anyway. That alone is confusing. Sigh... long response, sorry.
