Angel Span
Of all the orbs up in the sky
The moon is loveliest by far
And catches my romantic eye
More than angels on a shooting star.
But it takes time for lunar light
To cast its golden midnight spell
Where men regain romantic sight
And dream of heaven more than hell.
So take some time when best you can
To gaze into her magic ball
And contemplate the moonbeam span
That decorates us one and all
Whenever we, on sleepless nights,
Stoke up our dreams with moonbeam flights!
The moon is loveliest by far
And catches my romantic eye
More than angels on a shooting star.
But it takes time for lunar light
To cast its golden midnight spell
Where men regain romantic sight
And dream of heaven more than hell.
So take some time when best you can
To gaze into her magic ball
And contemplate the moonbeam span
That decorates us one and all
Whenever we, on sleepless nights,
Stoke up our dreams with moonbeam flights!
