Your Window
You think that I'm asleep, but I watch as you stare out of the window
You're neither here nor there, but there is something that you remember
There is something so deep within you, that it hides in the dark
Not always but sometimes it appears with a flicker and a spark
Was It something that I said or the weather outside of that window
Yes boo, I realize that it could never be that simple
But to watch as you torment yourself locked away in that dark place
To only be able to watch as fear and pain moves across your face
The fear, I can feel it as if I was standing right there
Depression weighing you down, the darkness doesn't care
I want to touch you, but it may be like touching a sleepwalker
At the time I didn't know that your past was your stalker
I thought that maybe we were having problem
Maybe you were sweeping things under the rugs to keep from solving them
But and then where did that put me, under the covers pretending sleep
Willing to fake anything because I've fallen to deep
To grasp at clouds of smoke trying to climb out of your void
Tortures from your past that for whatever reasons were ignored
Maybe the support wasn't there and you were encouraged to let it slide
Maybe you were not believed or told to toughen up as you cried
That trouble from so long ago has remanifested itself in your life
The problem is in a perfect relationship, you're still enduring the strife
I wish that I could help you before it starts eating away at what we have
Because of you there is so much that I now have
Please let me in Boo, let me share in your pain
Let's confront it at the source, so that it never returns again
Let's burn our past to cinders where as we both come out as heroes
Instead of me pretending sleep and you looking out of the window
