Weary Dreamer

Weariness is never weak
When you ponder life's intricacies,
Ever something more to seek
When seeking long past subtleties.
And so I speak, words unbound
Flying free, like bats in the trees,
With every phrase and uttered sound
I reveal more than some ever see.

If I weary in my weaving
Of verses that have many meanings,
It is because, thus undeceiving
It is difficult to create gleamings.
For dark is the world in this age
Where fear seems rampant around,
As innocent hearts fill with rage
And courts pass judgments unsound.

I will speak as is my want
Finding in every word new worth,
For ideas are an abundant font
A source of light on this sad Earth.
More must find the courage so
To create a change in every heart,
Challenging all winds that blow
From fools who know not true art.

Better to a dreamer become
So that we can remold all of reality,
In ways that can never be undone
Before mankind is no longer free!
It matters not what others think
We are what our hearts so desire,
No matter how deeply I may sink
I will not be lost to any hateful ire.

A weary dreamer I may be
But not ever too weary to create art,
So that my words all may see
And in my small way, I do my part!
I am not alone, there are many
With wills as strong as mine remains,
Who still possess great dignity
And a mind to end humanity's pains.
