Net Co2 Emissions
With humans spewing CO2
And whole continents aflame
What in the world will we do
When entropy comes after you?
We can't keep doing things the same
We must be mindful what we spew
When concocting our next brew
By way of some pernicious flame
Resolving more hellacious goo
Or plasticine production sprue
Whose by-products are such a shame
With their double helix switcheroo
Knocking humanity's health askew
And only by some legal claim
Might those of us hope to renew
Depleted family revenue
Whereby the rich forever exclaim
Is all the fault of me and you...
Because our rent is overdue!

It's overwhelming when you really think about it.... from the methane gases released into the atmosphere... to all of the plastic in the oceans big enough to create floating islands and small enough to be found in the stomachs of marine animals and in such abundance it was coined a new word of microplastics.... jeez...
Plus, much much more...
You highlight so well the financial Injustice of it all.... that's the crux of it,imo. How to we cease the sheer amount of waste when it's cheaper for most to continue adding to the problem?!?

Often my poems are something of a Boomer rant but at least they rhyme. Lol.
