With introspection of this nature, it's often an up and down emotional roller coaster in the effort to access deep personal understanding and the acceptance of bold truths.  

Hoping discovering the sheer breadth of particular needs and desires along with the commitment of lifestyle choice, will lead to intense growth, and a brilliant sense of unimaginable freedom. In my opinion, it's mperative to figure out how to harness one's own power.. only then can you share yourself fully, deciding how to move forward from there... It's a process and sometimes not an easy one.... but worthy.

Glad you found some allure and enjoyment.

Today's a start.

Self-discovery can have a very purposed road. Something worth exchanging.

It is a meaningful start, yes.... ;)  

The ups and downs of finding one's place or understanding the meaning of why I need or want what I do, seems like I've barely scratched the surface despite being almost midlife...I know you've told me portions of your own experiences... which I reflect upon at times whenever I feel like any pressure or like I'm starting to run out of time— remembering that it's never too late to really dive in and do some real introspection

I have my moments where I slide towards that masochistic impulse, depending upon what's happening in my head and heart... So I definitely relate, dear lady.

It's finding something within that pain that mixes with anticipation, shock, unbridled pleasure and the trust that he'll push me past where I thought I could absolutely never go.... It's a 'never before felt' kind of exhilaration...

Yeah, Nick Cave and Tom Waits have that same kind of odd sensibility, I can see that. I like them both a lot. I'm a huge Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds fan they're probably one of the only bands that I love this much that I've never seen live.. I'm dying to!

That song Harvey Lee with Nick Cave and PJ Harvey it's got to be one of my favorites I just love the video of song with them together it's so so so sexy!!

I never told you about my history in my twenties... which was the early to mid 90's... I toured with several death metal bands all across the United States running their merch... which I'm sure you know was a ton of bread and butter for those bands during that time and probably still is these days. So I met a lot of bands that I loved from different tours that intersected or from festivals or days long events that were scheduled into whatever tour I was on... not that Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds would have come in contact any of those bands I was with but I would normally get a lot of tickets to various shows that were normally giveaways... so I always was able to see one band or another.... most of the time.  
 
Nick Cave is a little weird that's why I like him... lol. Plus his band is fucking incredible you should look up some of the YouTube clips of their live performances, they're so so good!

No not one of the band... lol.. a guy I was dating at the time started out as a drum Tech for the drummer who co-founded Slayer, Dave Lombardo. that branched off into working for metal bands from Tampa... Poplar death metal crap from the 90's... not necessarily my cup of tea but some of it was! That's how I got my foot in the door... I think someone trustworthy to run merchandise is a big deal because it made so much money it wasn't just t-shirts it was posters and stickers keychains backpacks hoodies all kinds of stuff!

Me either... just a good job and fun opportunity during my youth... lol
