The Balloon

Gather around, young and old.
I have a story to tell,
my children.Take one balloon,
And hold it while I tell thy tale.

There are two sides
who desire different things.
One says theirs is right,
and the other is wrong.

The same goes the other way around.
So they bicker for nights and days.
Are you still holding those balloons,
my dears?

From a simple argument,
turns into war.
I will give you a coin,
but you must use the hand to pick it.

The very same hand
you used to hold the balloon.
My dear children,
have you taken the coin?

Now I shall reveal to you
the metaphors of it all.
Those who held the coin
were one of those who have fallen in war,
While those who held the balloons
were souls who lived to tell the tale.

My children,
the only lesson I will impart
from this writing,
Is that we should never
let our egoistic desires
corrupt our well-being.

However,
if we help others
achieve their dreams,
And if we focus on our own
goals for this world...

We can be like the balloons,
Free at last,
without someone
to hold us down.

Think about it, my children.
