Oh how they wanted things to be as great
As an Andy Griffith, lily white show...
Devoid of the slightest soulful trait
African Americans might well bestow.
They thought greatness came with a cheap red hat
To top off the tactical gear and guns
That decorated the privileged white fat
Of overfed boomers with spoiled sons.
Then came an election both fair and square
With blue waves floating the popular vote
And democracy's return to declare...
"No more Twitters tyrannically wrote!",
Because Americans are peace loving souls
Cursed by packs of internet trolls!
