Thoughts as dark as a storm and as powerful as lightning.
I was driving in my car.
I was heading to work, it wasn’t very far.
Dark thoughts like lightning electrocuted my brain,
“What if I got hit by a train?”
I confront them and say “I’m fine.”
I even fool myself sometimes.

Dear M,
This reminded me of an expression move a muscle change a thought. Even if we don’t exactly believe what we’re saying it can still counter a negative thought and stop it. Having had thoughts similar to what you write I can relate. Outstanding. H🌷
