So tender to the touch
My psyche is also bruised

The title of the poem is carried out through the realities of the lover/writer in describing the representation of the scars or rather "bruises" which as much as they can be physical and seen but heal much slowly over the course of time.
The best writing is, to me, the kind that teaches the reader as much as the writer continues searching for that definitive iconic masterpiece which holds great meaning and significance.

I enjoy similar types of poetry. It was my reality for almost 4 years. I got out 10 years ago. Physically, I've been fine for a long time. Mentally, it's getting better a little at a time. Thank you :)
