Renunciation of Fear

- Renunciation of Fear -

I tired of the storied saints when they forgot how to dance,
Growing bored with the angels when they lost their romance...
Too many times I have heard people tell me what I should be!
They had no idea what I am, and all that my eyes could see.
I looked into every soul, and saw the hunger they did deny...
As they lost all their creativity, until it made the heavens cry.
With my words and by example I try to show them a new way,
And so many now walk with me, heralding a more lovely day!
Shining like the sun, spirits carried on the darkest of winds,
Bound for a paradise of our own design, from choicest sins.
Hunger not, children of a disharmonious age, newly come...
There is time yet to party, before the darkening of the sun!
Drink from my wisdom and live forever, defying authority,
I bring a new law, to replace the old one's departed dignity.
Do as you will, bringing harm to no one in each endeavor...
Brighter than is silver, your spirit becoming blessed forever!
The road before us is endless and not everyone can chart it,
That is why we have our own, and shall do as we so see fit.

I tired of past traditions when they no longer sang so sweet,
So I created new ones, to lay at all my chosen peoples' feet.
Hear my words and understand, where the past went wrong,
And why, we must liberate ourselves from its' boring song.
Thirst not, children of a disharmonious age, grown weary...
There is time yet to sip, from a chalice of a truer harmony!
You will not perish if you question what your elders teach,
Nor be destroyed if you abandon all your patriarchs preach.
The fruit of old faiths has withered on the vine it lay upon...
Its' time is ending, and with it works of tremendous wrong!
I offer a new fruit, one that fills the whole of the soul entire,
For it excites one's passions and grants heat unto one's fire.
The gods who lied remain distant in their forsaken domains,
Hiding from their misdeeds, from the price of all their pain.
My truth defies their falsehoods, and of it I share the boon,
The age of the sun is fading before the majesty of the moon.
You may exceed the old gods, who kept their truths selfish,
All it takes is liberation and the acknowledgment of a wish.

In my hand is the key, anointed with the blood of this age...
Discovered in the throes of my own sorrow and bitter rage,
When I saw the awful course that humanity was set to walk.
The door to paradise was always there, of which sages talk!
Wicked ones kept it closed, but the path was always clear...
Let us walk that path together, for our destined day is near.
All it takes is but a moment, to renounce the grasp of fear!
