4 in the morning

Perfect.
That's perfect but I'll tell the story anyway.
Timbuktu, a place for anywhere far away and has becom a metaphor for such. I didn't know it was a real destination until I was in middle school.
Me being the Thursday's child, I have far to go always and I can feel every country mile of it. That's the only thing I can think of. That, and I'm not smart. But Thursdays are great though. It reminds us the weekend's coming.
And too, my aunt Oma & uncle Jess had an outhouse all the way up until about 1982. My family would spend about a week there every summer, down in the Ozarks on vacation. There was never a chamber pot when I woke & needed one, and so I would have to run out & down to the shitter, and be careful of snakes because its pretty dark.
Bonus: "Go to aTimbuktu" was my given line in our 8th grade production of "On Broadway" a musical that included the song. I wanted a bigger part 😕 pipe dream. I'm not complaining. I was lucky to be there.

Wasn't 1982 just grand? Well, at least it was for us with the one INDOOR toilet, and it was EXTRA grand when I won the "most improved actor" award for TEN LITTLE INDIANS, where I portrayed Doctor Armstrong, which was a perfect receptacle for my undisguisable teenage angst.
As for TIMBUKTU, I also recognize it as a former colonial trophy where, by now, I hope that they may at least have up to date plumbing.
If they don't, then I guess I may be just shitting myself. 😊
