A people that are
Watched from
Afar,
Like a binary
Star
Revealed in an
Abyss of
Sky
Where gears
Of
Fears
Churn

Author's Note
[Inspired by the Malana people of India…
Their language is called “language of the devils”…
It is a mixture of Sanskrit and several Tibetan dialects…
Spoken nowhere else in India…
Made me think of the Anasazi… Or… “ancient enemy”
How they were outcasts amongst the tribes…
How one comes to accept one’s self..
How one comes to use such things to their advantage…
When those around you make it all into a game...]

I've always been fascinated by that sort of society. The one's that
thrive on their own. Without being reliant on the outside influences.
I truly believe our survival instincts have profound effect to who ever is watching.
Learning and evolving within ourselves - but also gifting such tenacity to our youth or
whoever is willing to learn. Love the ending of this piece Cipher. It all starts with the eye and I.
So right on!!

(I too share this fascination...)
That is so true A... Regarding
survival instincts...
I feel very fortunate that I had
strong role models...
My dad & his brother...
We all worked together
in the concrete & construction industry...
I was on the job site as
a very young person... (like in diapers...)
I worked summers,
throughout my youth...
Both of them were so strong,
smart, and wise...
Really one of a kind individuals...
My father was more of the light...
My uncle was more of the dark...
They had a third brother,
who I was not as close with but he was real cool...
He... Was in a problematic,
troublesome relationship with a woman who cheated...
He died rather young... Like around 50.
Of a mysterious malady in his brain...
The University of Michigan MaoClinic could
not determine his cause of death...
But yes...
My uncle called me "The Champ"
from a very early age...
:)))
He is the one who made me want
to try wrestling...
He wrestled on his reform school
team... And used to tell me stories about it...
Also, my older cousins were wrestlers...
I think I wanted to prove that I could do it too,
on some level... Perhaps.
I joined the team in junior high and
went undefeated... All first period pins...
I... Was kind of astonished by my performance...
But yes...
My uncle passed from cancer...
He worked until his final days...
I have thought about writing a book
about them...
All of them... My mom too...
It was an interesting era that they
existed in... From a sociological perspective...
I was actually talking to my mom
about this recently...
She has spoken of writing a memoir,
and I was encouraging her...
And telling her some of my thoughts,
regarding such a project...
Its like...
There was a migration to this
area...
Based upon the fertile crops...
Migrants came here to work the fields...
And this migration produced such
an interesting milieu...
I think that everyone has a personal legend...
But this can be taken to another level,
based upon the telling of the story...
Like you say... For the subsequent generations.
I feel like... I feel like they just don't make
them like they used to...
I feel like I am the last of that "company culture"...
Nevertheless...
You always really make me think.
And I am grateful for that...
