Why she left
always seemed
so blatantly
obvious.
What never
made sense
was why
she would bother
to come back
if she never
wanted
to talk about it.
Just gone.
Just came back.
No reason.
No explanation.
Addiction.
Sickness.
Sadness.
Bad boys were.
Back home,
Just quiet.
TV.
And solitaire.
Shaming?
Cucking.
Lying?
Revenge?
Retribution.
Great Expectations?
Boredom?
Narcissism?
No plan.
She knew
All the rules
But loyalty.
Perhaps
guilt or duty:
