During NaPo...
Sex_on_the_Joe spoke of writing
a poem on a bike...
I thought that sounded like a cool idea...
I said I was going to do it...
And I am a man of my word...
Although obscured by darkness,
this was written on a bike...
I was out for a bike ride,
just a bit ago...
There was a storm coming in...
Lightning in the distance...
I decided to ride back home
and get the camera...
The lightning was sporadic
and not captured in this recording...
But the energy is there...
This was recorded whilst riding through
a cemetery...
Also the art of LDF...
Which is showcased in my avatar,
inspired me to step outside of the box, creatively...

Re. Of Trees & Tombstones
Dear CO,
Very cool idea. Performance poetry. Lent itself to the mystery of darkness and set a somber tone of how lonely a tree can be. For me, I think of that as a metaphor for humans. Even in a forest (or group of people) there can be isolation. I really enjoyed this piece. The pace of your reading was perfect. After reading your authors note I liked envisioning the storm, the bike riding, etc. terrific write. H🌷

Oh wow! I absolutely love this. What a wonderful idea. I am very much into cycling and I love graveyards, and storms too. When I lived in the UK for some time growing up there was a really old graveyard that I lived near. I would go there a lot and found it to be so peaceful, except when I was trying to raise the dead - but we are not going to talk about that. :p The ambiance you created with this one is truly wonderful. It has a kind of spooky cold Halloween night feel to it. The background sounds are perfect, as are your tone and pace. This is definitely one I will listen to again. I don't know if you already have but if you find yourself so inclined you can listen to one of amateur attempts at recording.

You... Raise the dead.?.
I think I can see that... :)
Thank you Kristina...
It was an interesting experience...
I rather enjoyed it...
I had no idea where it was going but it
fit perfectly with the route I took...
Like... Magic...
I wanted to get lightning in
the background...
But the pure darkness I thought
worked well...
I have really grown quite fond of
visiting this graveyard...
People put different color
lights by the tombstones of their lover ones...
It almost feels like a place
where craft are departing and returning...
And there are these very ancient trees...
With twisting turning pathways...
I have been cycling quite a bit...
It has been so long since I was on a bike...
I got this fat tire bike...
It is real cool and makes you sort
of smile whilst riding...
:)
Before I recorded this,
I was parked for a bit... In a dark cove...
Messing with the camera...
I momentarily thought of zombie films and such... :p
So...
I am working on these books...
They take place in a fictional town,
based on the town in which I live...
It is like... A place of High Strangeness...
But in the book...
I am thinking of a graveyard where
different creatures live...
So it is cool to venture to this place,
and study the energy...
In order to transmit it into the medium...
(Thank you for the recommendation...)

The pure darkness worked really well, it let you truly focus on the background sounds and the reading but you still felt like you were seeing something. That's magic.
The graveyards in the UK and Europe are spectacular in comparison with the USA. So ornate and so old.
I like the sound of a dark cove.
My bike is a hybrid, it has thin tires like a road bike but thick enough to take off road as well. It works very well for my purposes and I can go really fast on the road...
The graveyard sounds wonderful, I love ancient trees too.
Writing books... Nice. A place of high strangeness - I can definitely identify with that. I have been told I am a place of high strangeness. lol
If I can inspire then I am very happy about that. :)
