Loving To Live Life Through Living To Love

Keeping you on my mind keeps me from pressing rewind and going back to such a lonely place that I was once in at one point and time.
Enjoying life is so much better when you have someone to enjoy it with
Love is a gift
a gift to be shared
shared with others
others who care
who love in return
who don't give to get
but give because it feels good and it keeps their needs met
I was a hard shell with such a loving core
that could not be seen or recognized like a small pebble on a vast ocean floor
waiting to be found, discovered, revealed
so that I could truly show how I feel
I never lost faith but somehow lost hope
making it harder in life for me to cope
but I held on and I'm glad I did
now I am doing a slow skip through life like a little kid
soaking up everything that is positive
squeezing out and releasing forever the negative
giving all I have to give
learning all that I can in this life I live
(not just existing)
