I feel like this is a trending protocol...
Like a virus that passes, from person to person...
I remembers someone I once knew
said to me:
"Women ruin the good men."
I found that thought provoking...
I feel like it is... Humans ruin humans...
So difficult to remain Pure...
To live by a code...

I know this experience all too well. It’s okay though because we have super power. We know we’ve done our best. They didn’t. It still hurts and I feel that in this poem. I think your use of “disheartening” is just perfect as it reflects so well that emotional let down. So Well written. H🌷
