Apologies
What if I told you that I'm truly sorry Lady
That I really love you Lady
I know that you've heard this all before baby
But could you please forgive me once more, maybe
What if I promised not to ever do it, not to ever make you cry again
I know now that I should had felt your pain
For whatever reason sometimes life isn't properly prioritize
The most important things end up on the bottom of the list, and you don't realize
But this time I know things can't remain the same
I know that I have to change, my list has to be rearranged
My queen, like cream, has to rise to the very top
Like smoke through the stratosphere, you'll keep rising non-stop
What if I promise to always remain true and to change my philandering ways
To seek only your heart and try to work with what you think and say
I realize to say that they didn't mean anything isn't the proper route to take
There is only one way into your heart, but there is so many rules to break
To say that it wasn't my fault, that it was a mistake that simply happened
Yes my body is my vessel, and yes I the only captain
You don't need to hear about body parts going rogue, freaking mutiny on the bounty
At least that is what I would had asked that you believe happened to me
A few drinks to many and baby she reminded me of you
But a honest man doesn't look for excuse, this isn't what they do
There's no way another could remind us of your beauty and grace
And this is said with a guilty trace
Now what if I told you that I'm truly sorry Lady
That I really love you Lady
I know that you've heard this all before baby
But could you please forgive me once more, maybe
