You don’t deserve to be on my mind
I miss the way things used to be,
When I knew you and you knew me.
I miss when your words were true,
and I know that I shouldn't.
For you I'd take a bullet.
Even though you wouldn't,
Do the same.
I am not the only one to blame.
I miss everything.
I know in my heart you're never coming back,
and thank god for that.
But I'm still haunted by our past.

This poem feels like you’ve extracted my thoughts from my brain and wrote it out in poetic verse. Why do we give over so much time to those who don’t deserve it? Your closing line is something I’ll undoubtedly hang onto for many personal reasons. Terrific truth and write. H🌷

I’ll ever be able to repay your for the kindness, confidence and excitement to write more about my pain that you e given me.
When I first started sharing my poetry publicly I was doubtful that anyone would even read it, let alone relate to it and be Inspired by my words! Thank you so much H! You’re my biggest fan and my favorite fan!
