Deep Twilight

How deep twilight
love's boudoir, madness
of chamber's cello
dripping Pinot noir
of silence golden

with Anesthesia
in night's grotto
among the willows
of dreams mellow
over the horizon

where herons sway
beneath amethyst moon
and amorous croon
of vampiric swoon
in a state of wakes

of pages in books
blue songs and drakes
across chimney tops
on the pogey take
how deep the twilight
