Meditation - Daughter's journal

In meditation I pray
to the Universe, that the
members of my body will
fulfill their purposes. If my purpose
is to share pleasure, let me share
with abandon and lose myself
in the sweet joining of flesh.
If, in due time, my purpose is the
creation of life, let me be a
mother who is still a lover of life.
Let me be a woman who
continues to bless as long as
this life lasts.

May the festive union of our bodies
satisfy the appetites that haunt my meditation.
These needs that transcend time and space
are surely sanctioned by the gods!

When death comes
as it will to all of us, may we
bask in the memories of these
shared celebrations rendered from our flesh.
