This is extremely awkwardly phrased.  Did you mean to say "and had no power to save themselves"?  Given your syntax, you end up saying that the people Jesus's palms loved did not posses "super heroes".  
 
"But how could those whose claws were sharp  
be equalled with their harmless preys?"  
 
You've mis-spelled "equaled"   and the plural of "prey" is "prey", not "preys".  
 
And if you think that the charge that "those with claws" used to bring Jesus to the cross was fake, then you have no idea how critical and subversive Jesus' teaching and practice was to the ways the economic and political policies of  Roman imperialism and those of the Temple authorities who supported them in order to maintain their position and power affected Jews who sought to be faithful to the Mosaic covenant.

Unless you say who these people were, what their thoughts were,  and whom or what these people imposed their thoughts upon,  this claim is  incomprehensible  and shows just how much you disrespect your readers by imposing upon them the task of filling in what you have irresponsibly left unsaid.  
 
Moreover, are you really claiming, as your syntax makes you claim,   that until Jesus came (circa 4 BCE),  no one, let alone just "some people", was/were ever able to "impose their thoughts" on any one or any thing?  

And shouldn't you have written "The cost **that those**  who stood with love should pay." instead of "The cost who stood with love should pay" since "who" needs a referent?  And what were you trying to say when you wrote " who stood with love" . If you intended to say "those who stood on the side of love", let alone "those who supported Jesus' cause", you haven't clearly said it since your phrase seems to be referring to the way certain people stood up.

1- Prey: you are right. It can be 1- countable singular 2- uncountable.
2- Equalled: you have made a mistake. It is correct in B.E.
3-Imposed their thoughts: they were imposing wrong ideas, such as not curing an ill person on Saturday, and you can see some others. I can't mention these points. This is poetry not prose. Thank you for your observations.

You said "**could** impose" not "**did** impose.   
   
And people could (not to mention did) impose all sorts of thoughts on others long before Jesus "came".      
     
I note that you now claim (though you never never said or in any way indicated) that the "some people" you were referring to as being able to impose their thoughts on others was  a select group of first century Jews  And even if you meant to say that,  you are ignoring the fact that  it  wasn't a select group of Jewish people  who thought that people should abide by the "thought" that a Jew was not to heal on the Sabbath.  It was all of them.  Nor did they think that there were no exceptions to this notably divinely mandated rule.  With the exception of the Qumran covenanters, they all knew that that rule could be disobeyed if  a person' was in grave danger of dying  from his illness (which the man with the withered hand was not).  Furthermore, they knew and imposed this rule  -- in accordance with divine commands to keep holy the sabbath --   long before Jesus "came" and went on to believe  that it could and should be imposed long after he "came".    
   
And when you say that "Christ showed that God was fully free    
to say exactly what  He chose "  are you claiming that no one before Jesus believed (let alone said) that God was free to say whatever he chose to say?  
   
     
Then there's the fact that Jesus never said that the thought that one should not heal life threatening diseases on the Sabbath was wrong.
