Again this curse
Spring arrives to shine bright
Unfurled on winters
Of yesterdays that pervert my mind

I am an echo
That breaks itself down
Makeup on scabs
Upon the defeated face of a clown

On the surface
Summer is an unwelcome tide
Scourge through autumn
Leaving me with burns inside

I am an empath
Who fails to follow the rules
Feed me your honesty
So that I may mime your color drool

Chased by seasons
A chorus of blisters in paint
Another morbid obsession
Driven towards another impulsive mistake
