Into knives

When you looked for a friend
And being there too loudly
When I craved a listening ear

You may have acquired through the years
Of pasting the past in a photo book
To set on the shelf.

To roll back the tape
Sit wrapped up (together) on the couch
For a home movie night

Out of Someday’s snapshots.
I’m sorry for wanting a redo
Of all those times in the past
