Like the last day on earth
Terrain arranged
In extraterrestrial strange
Ice colliding with jagged edged
Ledges leading to white out
Sink blots bequeathed
In nightmarish plummet
Unsheathed
As snow blast
Passes by face surfaces
Lingering in
Legions of spent nerve endings
In impressions
That
Indelibly
Last
As
Moon moves
Past
Sun
And the Earth
Becomes
Overrun

Solar eclipse today...
Cab be seen from Antarctica...
Can you imagine...
(I guess there are cruises surrounding such an event...
That would be wild...
But more so... From a boots on the ground perspective...)
Antarctica really takes my imagination places...

I'm also captivated by Antarctica but I'm not quite sure if that's due to the beautiful natural aspect of it or because of my love for the horror movie The Thing from 1982... Hahaha! It still scares the shit outta me, to this day!! However, it always drew my curiosity of that environment on earth, too!!

There is certainly something otherworldly...
Which makes things such as The Thing
seem possible or even plausible...
Have you heard of the lakes
that are under the ice?!
Or... Entire eco systems under the ice...
Like by these heat vents
where different things grow?
Man...
I read this thing...
About a pyramid being found under the ice...
and other things...
Tis a strange place...

Nice write Cipher... on my way to Antarctica in December of this year... guess I'll miss the eclipse... I did see the one in New Orleans a while back...

Oh wow LDF... That is going to he so cool!
I remember the last eclipse I saw...
I rigged up a viewer as well as
combined multiple pairs of shades...
Into a makeshift welders mask
sort of thing...
I remember there were a number
of people who were staring strait at it...
WIth the naked eye... Strait not caring...
I could literally see their eyeballs melting...
Made me think of a sort of
"Uniquely American attitude"...
It was their freedom... :)))
Man... That eclipse was such
