when words fail;
tones entwine through synapses
eliciting positive vibrations
evoking happy chemicals

Occasionally they are ominous notes
setting a scene
to keep us on edge,
pent-up for the sudden jump scare

On work days
beneath feel-good party vibes
isochronic tones
entrain the wayward brain
making tedious tasks
less of a pain

But the best music
is filled with
secret lyrical messages,
connecting heart rhythms
through time and space,
twin notes dancing in sync
to form a perfect harmony,
speaking a symphony
out of failed words.
