Happiness & Suffering

Life can be analogous to us stumbling up a mountain holding on to all our troubles and being very clumsy along the way. And so sometimes we'll drop our sufferings, only to have to pick it all up again. It belongs to us and us only.  Our struggles are heavy compared to our happiness from day to day; light as the air, rising above everything, and so it easily floats away.

I think it pays off though, because when you get to the summit, you get to lay everything down as you meet with clarity.   Look around you, you can see everything.

There are no words after clarity, it takes your breath away, there are only echoes.

Is that happiness?
Was that suffering?

This is our journey told many ways.   I like the mountains.
