Image for the poem Blow

Blow

He loved bubblegum
Thought it should
Be chewed thoroughly
And with purpose
Making little bubbles
Of it , looking down his nose
Seeing them burst
On the tip of his tongue

He loved making
Videos of himself
On his mother's
Cellphone
Making and breaking
These bubbles
Again and again
Tirelessly performing
To no one
In particular

News flash
This last bubble
Was so big it almost
Covered his entire face
When it exploded
Sticking like glue
He was proud
Of his bubble
After all, he was
Only seven years old
