He who waits

Bodily craving I won't lie
From the moment I knew your name
Not much you did except for smile
The beast I needed to tame

You graced the party with a presence
Grace, class, and calm style
But before I could ask for more
You left and no number I could dial

My dreams we filled with interaction
Much simply us engaged in a kiss
Stars shinning a trace of moonlight
The stuff of legend and what I do miss

Now the next time we talked
Your smile filled my coldest night
Intellect so sparkling on any topic
The cerebral intercourse felt oh so right

So I thought in another encounter
Maybe more in depth a positive trend
But a last to slow I was in acting
For you charms were directed to a friend

A lesson many do learn
Is patience isn't always the best
When it comes to affairs of the heart
Slow and cautious can be a real pest!
