For those DUP’ers from England or the Netherlands.
This is a little known verse form. A higgeldy piggeldy or olleke bolleke.
Two verses
First verse, sentence 1, 2 and 3 always six syllables
And sentence 4 (your choice) four or six syllables
Second verse
First sentence six syllables
Second sentence one word of six syllables
Third sentence six syllables
Forth sentence four or six syllables, plus rhyming on the forth of the first verse
The sentences will read like a waltz, as the emphasis must lay on the first and forth syllable. This is something I often neglect, but I shouldn’t. The second sentence of the second verse may only be used once

Hi, Gus! Very interesting poem here. Great form. I'm on the DUP welcoming committee but haven't done a lot lately. If I had been I would've noticed sooner how new you are here. I want to welcome you even though I am so late doing it. I hope you enjoy it here.

In NL the olleke bolleke is reasonable we’ll known. Far better known than in England, where it originated.
And there’s no need to apologise, it’s all voluntary work by humans. Sometimes life gets in the way of noble plans.
