there are  
exotic songs  
ive heard  
yet did not  
know  
the meaning of  
indigenous chants  
mystical sounding  
ancestral lullabys  
of baka  
barundi  
and pygmy tribes  
but something  
in the vocal  
tones  
bird like  
primal notes  
and fluid melodies  
interwoven    
into their rhythmic  
drum beats  
hypnotic  
trance like  
channellings heard  
sets free  
in me  
new visions  
come  
reflectively  
expressed here now  
in these  
organic  
vine like  
tendrillings  
of impressionistic  
words  
are deeply rooted  
at their source  
in and through  
both  
their voices  
and their bones  
which naturally  
bloom forth  
from their  
lives  
still lived  
in total harmony  
with all  
of nature  
around them  
spiraling out  
with such  
sweet  
universal clarity  
over full mooned  
jungle rivers  
hypnotic  
fluid  
silver dreams  
ethereal lights  
quietly flowing through  
ancient spirits  
of mystical  
shamanic nights  
whose essence  
opens up  
in me  
in all my  
heightened senses  
keenly  
tuned in  
awareness  
some strangely  
familiar  
yet directionless  
inner gravity  
which drifts  
and pulls  
at the deepest  
resonant core  
of my own  
transcendent  
life force  
whose own  
distantly  
long forgotten  
ancestral roots  
similarly  
spiral forth  
even further still  
extending  
energetically out  
unseen  
yet felt  
down into  
the unknown depths  
of some  
forgotten  
eternal spring within
and beyond
wherein  
it so effortlessly  
acquiesces into  
the purest  
infinite heart  
of the even  
greater mystery  
beyond  
everything we do  
and do not  
know at all  
beyond  
the immeasurable  
beauty  
and suffering  
that is  
the sum  
of each lifes  
journeyed beings  
story  
whether fully  
realized  
fully lived  
or not  
despite any  
seemingly endless  
struggles  
it ultimately  
still  
may come  
to be  
both known  
and more fully  
self realized  
as that ineffable  
perfection itself  
yet still  
presently here now  
beyond  
all our  
so called  
presumably  
brilliant knowledge  
empiric  
innate  
or otherwise  
the deeper  
primal truth  
which we all  
for the most part  
have long  
and completely  
forgotten  
is still reflected  
still alive  
in those songs  
ive heard  
and felt  
of baka  
barundi  
and pygmy tribes  
even though  
at the time  
i did not  
know  
nor understand  
the meanings  
of their words  
still even so  
they deeply touched  
and opened  
me up  
and still do  
touch  
and open me  
further  
to that deeper  
more universal  
more primal  
truth  
innate in me  
at the very  
core  
of my eternal  
souls  
most sacred  
transcendent being  
which opens up  
my heart  
so wide  
freeing my  
too long  
held hostage feelings  
and rivers  
of joyous tears  
to inwardly flow  
up from  
some mysterious  
ancient  forgotten  
yet timeless  
purer source  
to flow  
more outwardly  
now  
here into  
this  
and every luminous  
full mooned  
jungle rivers  
hypnotic  fluid  
silver dreams  
similar  
mystical  
shamanic night  
like ancestors spirits  
returned  
and arisen  
to visit  
on such  
magical nights  
wherever  
they might occur  
which both  
recognizes  
and knows  
my soul  
as it gently  
taps  
silently into  
the even greater  
unseen mystery  
of all that is  
within  
and beyond  
everything i do  
and  
do not know  
and yet still am
just as we  
and all things  
are
within
that eternal
primal spring beyond
which exists
innately
and collectively
herein
us each and all
unseen
yet felt
and known
as we continue
as a species
to much
too slowly
awaken
at least in part
as part
of who
and what
we are
forever  
here  
now  
within
and  
beyond
