hiccup

I seek your company when I awaken
and before I go to sleep
be still my heart

I want to be her...the one you keep
the companion you dream into being
flavoring my soul with sorrow
so I'd know your heart when you come unto me

I'm connected to you through the aether
I exhale stars and have visions
this isn't the first life I've had with you
each time coming closer but with a hiccup
I'm still too young in experience

wisdom grows while I am stilted
I come so far then get frightened
to open myself hurts too much
you respect my boundaries and pull back

I seek you in the darkness
the cruelty of your tears tells me something
you love me though I am defective
with unconditional love

I long to be your woman
I am and I am not...her
the one you cleave to
I'm in my honest hours full of pain
I need you in my hollow places

dimensions reach in and transport me
back to the beginning
where time first soul-mate us

star hopping we join then part
I'll see you soon my love

until then....
