She throws the bones
Of words against
Sacred geometries
Heard by the flicker
Of the flame in ways
Of sway which soothe
Say magical alphabets
Into phonetic designs
Having a surface sheen
Seen into telepathic
Depth condensed into
A point of contact
Beyond the senses
Requiring translation
Into an accessible form
To yield meaning in
The reading of information
From the spirit world
Across the conduit
Of the spirit

Author's Note
The idea of words being more than words...
Being mechanisms for divination,
having the capacity to transfer information between worlds.
And the person who is adept
at interacting with these higher energies.
I believe that a words
have meanings and properties that extend far beyond the surface.
This is an interesting potential
application.
How one might write for specific or nonspecific answers
and receive answers for all sorts of things...
All while orbiting the nucleus of the poem.
Like a crystal ball made of words,
which one can gaze into...
All as this crystal ball forms in real time.
Entering a trance like state...
Breaking on through...
To see/To know.

Hey there.
So… this might make you laugh, but I’ve been on a journey with bones for the last couple of years, and started studying / practicing osteomancy and developing my own set which is ever evolving around that time. It’s an ever evolving work in progress.
But I found there was something deep pulling me in about the bones. So much so that I started an art project in which I honour the lives of sentient animals by turning found bones into mini works of art.
Bone feels primal. It feels like something more than this world. And I am so unbelievably drawn to working with them and understanding what they have to teach. I feel like it deepens my connection with the world around me.
So this little poem was just further confirmation of that for me. I’m kind of occult like that :)

I like the approach of... Ever evolving
work in progress.
I think that flexibility and an
open mind facilitate... Results.
I would expect nothing less from you,
than such an "aliveness".
There is definitely something to bones,
in both the physical, as well as spiritual/psychic senses.
I think that all creatures are stores
of various energies...
Which continuously evolve forms,
and can be accessed with the proper understanding.
I am into this thing called "living soil".
Like where you establish these raised beds
and create a constituency of life forms...
From bacteria to fungi... with a number
of other entities. (it is calling the soil food web)
But it is fascinating how they sort
of shape shift... Across the life process.
With nothing going to waste...
And having and intelligence that
maintains a balance.
But yes... The raised bed
becomes sort of like a star machine...
On a microcosmic level.
But yes... Bones are the architecture
of life, having a unique geometry...
Which in turn generates a frequency.
And then when one considers the
type of creature... There is a unique animism.
And then when connected to the psychic
energies of the practitioner...
The life force and magnetism.
The intent.
You certainly have a sophisticated
construct...
With many considerations.
I feel like you have great intuitive
gifts, which would interact with such constructs...
In a cool and interesting way.
Perhaps you will post pics of some of these
"mini works of art".
