no more Earth, it's disappeared
we're in space and feeling weird,
tingling birkeland currents flow
ever faster as we go

on our way to Planet B
an Earth-like world no one can see
with Proxima 'though far away,
faster than a cosmic ray

faster than the speed of light
through an endless starry night
driven by an unseen force
ever onwards right on course -

minutes turning into hours
electricity is what powers
all the stars, too you and me
just a day before we see

a small red star up ahead
close to which the world we've sped
ocean gleaming in starlight
with islands, clouds-it's such a sight

spinning slowly retrograde
like planet Venus it has made
a mystery of its special motion
with life thriving in its ocean...
