Dear Pluto
Do you think Pluto ever gets lonely?
Do you think they look towards the rest
And wonder why they're all alone?
What would Pluto say if they could speak?
Would they just point to the heart ocean of ice
Spread sweetly across their rocky surface
Do you think Pluto ever thinks about itself?
So cold and far away, the color of rust and charcoal greys
Do you ever think about Pluto?

I have learned. There is a huge difference (as you well know) between the dreaded loneliness versus being content to be alone.

While it takes us 365 days to go around the sun, it takes Pluto something like 248 years. That's centuries of loneliness, sadness and distance. It's a perfect metaphor.

Yeah, poor Pluto, alone & abandoned in the cold, like many members of the human race these days, who need shelter, hot soup & love.
