The Rite of the Write

Walls transformed to space
In darkness over darkness
Awaiting stars over stars
Ascending into space.

I cleanse myself,
Absent of haste,

Purposeful –
With intense intents:
Eyes closed,
In vaporous ringlets

Spiraling
Into meditative
Outlets,
Spiraling

Contemplative…

Seeking
The
Impetus
For
The
Onus,

Cloaked in black
Garment

Made sacrosanct
Like sacred

Ink.

Author's Note
Thinking of the ritualized nature of the creative process.

[Inspired by LDF principle.]

* The black garment has a dual meaning:

This being a black Calvin Klein robe, that is a decade old...
But has profound meaning to me, and a feel that is elegant and savage,
savage because I feel like a beast in something stylish...

Which is an interesting feeling.

Like something civilized on one who may be uncivilized.

I like that dichotomy...

I very much like robes, and they are great for ritualizing by intent.

The other meaning is a garment of darkness.

There is something primal about that,
as the body heat escapes...

I imagine myself with nothing but my self,
in the elements.
