Queen of Hearts - with Crimsin
After the rain in silence
in the silence of the tea-rose
tasting life with sunshine
after rain
at dawn's early light
and petals of dew show
of God's rainbow
to give you grace
with Queen Anne's lace
and splashes of gold
taking baby-steps
in the silence of the tea-rose
my thoughts were cypress on a warm day
your sunshine in a smile
I caress your poetry with small concentric circles
daydreaming of medieval lords and ladies of the court
then remember I was there you burned me as a witch
lady fair on a warm summer's day
is now a ghost with her sister Queen Anne
in the gardens of tea rose
King Henry the eighth,
long live Queen Elizabeth
in the silence of the tea-rose
tasting life with sunshine
after rain
at dawn's early light
and petals of dew show
of God's rainbow
to give you grace
with Queen Anne's lace
and splashes of gold
taking baby-steps
in the silence of the tea-rose
my thoughts were cypress on a warm day
your sunshine in a smile
I caress your poetry with small concentric circles
daydreaming of medieval lords and ladies of the court
then remember I was there you burned me as a witch
lady fair on a warm summer's day
is now a ghost with her sister Queen Anne
in the gardens of tea rose
King Henry the eighth,
long live Queen Elizabeth
